Lcd Tv Comparison
As February rolls around, everyone will be deciding whether to buy one of those converter boxes for their older TV’s or to buy a brand new digital TV. It may be cheaper in the long run to get the converter boxes, but some people, along with their income taxes, will be out shopping. You can get an LCD TV at any electronics store from 19" to a huge 82". There are bigger, but they save those for the big movie makers. The largest LCD TV in the United States is a 104" LCD HDTV.

When comparing LCD TV’s, don’t just look at the brand name. Focus on main aspects. For example, look at the resolution of the picture. 720p and/or 1080i is what to look for. The best picture is 1080i, so if you have a choice, go with the 1080i picture. A cheap LCD TV with that kind of resolution would be the Sony 32" LCD TV. You can find these TV’s at stores like Best Buy, Circuit City and Radio Shack. The best 32" LCD TV would be Samsung’s 32" 1080p LCD HDTV. When playing a blu-ray dvd on the TV, it’s very hard to tell if it’s a movie or if it’s real life.
One of the best rated LCD TV manufactures is the Vizio. The Vizio LCD TV’s can easily compete with Samsung and Sony. The only downside to the vizio is the color black. It’s not as deep as it is on other high end LCD TV’s. One of the best LCD TV’s for those on a budget would be the 32" AOC Envision series. The sound quality, however, is poor. The 10 watt speakers don’t do well for video games or movies that have gunfire or heavy explosions.
If you’re looking for a smaller TV, then there are some good 19-26" TV’s as well. The smaller sister to the 32" AOC, the 26" AOC Envision Series LCD TV is now one of the best rated and a cheap buy as well. That’s a great deal if you think about it. There are 22" LCD TV’s by the same company as well. Look everywhere, Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target and anywhere else local.
The good thing about most of these TV’s is the fact that you can also use them as computer monitors as well as mounting them on the wall, if you didn’t have space on your dresser or entertainment center. It’s a great feature if you play CPU games and want to get the theater-like affect when playing them. Ultimately, when looking for an LCD TV, look for resolution, audio and video inputs and outputs, and look at other brands at the same size to see if there is a better deal somewhere else. You never know where you could find that diamond in the rough

LCD panel prices to recover soon
SEOUL: The liquid crystal display (LCD) industry has hit a bottom and TV panel prices are expected to recover in coming months on solid demand for small-sized flat screen TVs.
A lot of people don’t know (most don’t care) that the LCD panel itself is actually 768*1366. If you wanted to be a jerk about it, you’d say that the panel is technically a 768p mode[...]
